What is your consultation fee and how do I pay?

The fee for a standard 1 hour consultation is $160.00 (although, in truth, we may sometimes run a few minutes over as typically the richest content emerges toward the end of a session and I’m not a clock watching kind of gal. But please let me know if this is not suitable for you).  Fees can be paid in cash or via direct debit on or before the time of the day of consultation. Longer sessions may be available upon request. 

Longer sessions (80 mins) are available upon request for $190.00.

On-table NeuroAffective Touch sessions are $190.00 as they require more time and are typically 80 minutes in length. (I find the hour isn’t long enough).

Can I see you under a mental health plan?

Unfortunately no. At this point, a mental health plan is only applicable for work with a psycologist, psychiatrist, social worker or occupational therapist. For some reason the government hasn’t yet extended this financial assistance to include psychotherapy or counselling. I wish it wasn’t the case and PACFA (the Pychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia) and the ACA (Australian Counsellors Association) are continually working to see this ammended but for now, sadly, I am unable to offer a mental health plan.

Can I claim sessions with you on my private health fund?

Yes, if you have the appropriate extras cover you can claim a rebate for sessions with me. I offer provider numbers for BUPA, Medibank Private, AHM, the Australian Regional Health Group, Police Health, St Luke’s Health, Phoenix and Emergency Health Services.

What happens if I need to cancel an appointment?

Please note that when you make an appointment with me I allocate this time specifically for you. As such, if you need to cancel an appointment I require at least 48 hours notice so I can offer the session time  to somebody else. With this notice given there is no fee incurred. If you forget or need to cancel for any reason within the 48 hour time frame your session will be charged as normal.

Where are you located?

My office is located in Eumundi on the Sunshine Coast of Queensland. There is ample street parking available and the exact address will be provided at the time of booking your first session.

Do you offer online consultations?

Yes. Much of my work is on-line these days and consultations via Skype are available for those who can’t attend appointments in person. Alongside talk therapy, on-line consults are surprisingly effective for both somatic work and arts based, experiential counselloing.

How do I register my interest for one of your Art Conversations workshops?

Simply email me and I will send you an intake form and lead you through the registration process. Please note that your place in a workshop is not secured until full payment has been received.

Payments for art therapy workshops can be paid via direct deposit, credit card or PayPal. These details will be sent to you after your intake form has been completed and returned.

If you wish to attend a workshop but can’t afford to pay the full amount up front a non-refundable deposit will be required to hold your place. The balance must be made 7 days before the commencement date of the workshop.

What is your cancellation/refund policy if I change my mind or can’t attend a workshop that I’ve paid for?

Please note, as there are limited places in every workshop cancellations within 4 days prior to commencement date  will not be eligible for a refund as it is unlikely that your place can be filled with such short notice.

With 4 or more days notice a refund will be provided less a 20% admin fee.

What if I can’t attend one of the weekly sessions of an art therapy course I’ve enrolled in?

The full workshop price is applicable regardless of how many sessions you are able to attend.
